Yes, Adobe LLMO is now Brand Visibility. Adobe announced Adobe Brand Visibility on 17 June 2026 as the successor to Adobe LLM Optimizer (LLMO). It stopped selling LLM Optimizer on 31 July 2026, and its release notes record the rebrand and general availability on 4 August 2026. It's the same product line, rebuilt on the LLM Optimizer base with AI search data from Semrush added on top.
This post covers the rename timeline and what the product does today. It also explains whether you need Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), how it links to Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) and Edge Delivery Services, and how it's sold.
When did Adobe LLM Optimizer become Brand Visibility?
The rename landed in August 2026, after a transition of about seven weeks. Adobe launched LLM Optimizer in 2025, then folded it into a broader product once its Semrush acquisition closed. Each step is dated on Adobe's own pages.
| Date | What happened | Where Adobe says it |
|---|---|---|
| 16 June 2025 | LLM Optimizer announced at Cannes Lions | Adobe newsroom |
| 14 October 2025 | LLM Optimizer generally available | Brand Visibility release notes |
| 17 June 2026 | Adobe Brand Visibility announced | Adobe newsroom |
| 31 July 2026 | Brand Visibility sold in place of LLM Optimizer | Adobe's LLM Optimizer page |
| 3 August 2026 | Launch date Adobe gave partners | Adobe partner news |
| 4 August 2026 | Generally available, LLM Optimizer rebranded | Experience League release notes |
Adobe's Experience League documentation now says LLM Optimizer "has evolved into Adobe Brand Visibility". The old LLM Optimizer product URL serves the Brand Visibility page. A separate Adobe page carries the headline "Adobe LLM Optimizer is now Adobe Brand Visibility".
Is it only a new name? Not quite. Adobe says Brand Visibility is built on the foundation of LLM Optimizer. It adds market intelligence from Semrush, including what Adobe calls nearly 300 million real AI search prompts. The tools LLMO customers already used are still there.
What does Adobe Brand Visibility do?
Adobe Brand Visibility measures how your brand shows up in AI-generated answers, explains why, and helps you fix the gaps. Adobe calls it a generative engine optimization (GEO) application. In plain terms, it's the AI-answer version of an SEO platform, with deployment tools attached.
Adobe's documentation groups the work into a handful of jobs:
- Measure visibility. Track how often your brand is mentioned in AI answers for a set of prompts, and how often your site is cited as a source.
- Benchmark competitors. Compare share of voice with other brands. Adobe's product page says you can benchmark against up to five direct competitors.
- Find opportunities. Spot content gaps, such as missing FAQs or summaries, and technical problems, such as blocked crawlers or pages AI agents can't render.
- Track agent traffic. See how AI crawlers and assistants request your pages, using your content delivery network (CDN) logs, plus the human visits that arrive from AI answers.
- Deploy fixes. Push optimizations live, often at the CDN edge, and measure the effect.
- Read brand claims. The Brand Claims view, added in September 2026, shows what AI systems say about your brand and which sources shape it.
Which AI platforms does it cover? Adobe's product page names ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot, and says tracking spans ten LLM families and more than 25 languages. Optimize at Edge, the deployment feature, currently serves its changes to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude.
Here's what that looks like in a real team. An SEO lead sets up prompts by product category. The PR team watches brand claims for anything inaccurate. A web producer deploys an FAQ block to twenty product pages at the edge, then checks whether citations for those prompts moved. Adobe says impact measurement takes about two weeks.
What changed for existing LLM Optimizer customers?
Very little day to day, but a few numbers will look different. Adobe says customers who bought LLM Optimizer before 31 July 2026, and who have an active contract, get full access to Brand Visibility without interruption. They don't need to do anything.
The changes worth briefing your team on:
- Where to log in. Trial and paid users sign in at abv.adobe.com with an Adobe ID.
- Visibility Score is now called Brand Visibility. It counts mentions only. The old score also blended citations, position and sentiment, so expect a different number that doesn't mean your AI presence changed.
- Popularity is now Topic Volume. You see actual search demand instead of a high, medium or low estimate.
- Source Visibility is new. It shows how often your website is used as a source in AI answers.
- Share of Voice is weighted. It now reflects search demand and ranking position, so it may not match older reports.
- Opportunities are unchanged. Adobe says existing opportunities and deployment steps work exactly as before.
One practical trap: the old name lingers in admin settings. Adobe's own setup guide for the AEM managed CDN still refers to an "Adobe LLM Optimizer Users" product profile and an "LLMO Admin" group. Don't delete those in your Admin Console thinking they belong to a retired product.
If you report AI visibility to leadership, add a note to the first dashboard after the switch. A sudden drop in a renamed metric causes more alarm than it should.
Is Adobe Brand Visibility only for AEM customers?
No. Adobe answers this in its own product FAQ. It says edge deployment works with Fastly, Akamai and Cloudflare and is "not exclusive to Adobe Experience Manager". It adds that the intelligence, opportunity and attribution features "work across technology stacks". Adobe's launch release also says the product can run as a standalone application or as a native integration with AEM.
The documentation backs that up in three ways:
- Optimize at Edge is CDN-agnostic. Adobe publishes a setup guide for its own AEM Cloud Service managed CDN. It also covers bring-your-own CDNs: Fastly, Akamai, Cloudflare, CloudFront, Azure Front Door and Apache HTTP Server.
- Non-AEM customers have an onboarding path. Adobe's quickstart says that once your organisation finalises the business agreement, you're onboarded with the domain you chose.
- Measurement reads your public pages. Brand Visibility analyses your site through its own crawler, so the content management system (CMS) behind it doesn't matter for tracking.
Where AEM does make a difference is convenience. Adobe offers the free trial to AEM Cloud customers and to Adobe Analytics and CJA customers. AEM Cloud Service sites on Adobe's managed Fastly CDN also get a self-serve, one-click edge setup. Everyone else needs their IT or CDN team to add routing rules.
How does Brand Visibility connect to AEM and Edge Delivery Services?
Brand Visibility can change what AI agents see in two places: at the content source or at the CDN edge. Adobe's opportunities overview says optimizations can be applied in either place, and most of the fixes it documents today run at the edge.
Optimize at Edge works like this. Your outer CDN routes requests from AI agents to Adobe's edge service, which serves an AI-friendly version of the page. Human visitors and search engine bots still get your normal page. Adobe offers one-click rollback and says the service only reorganises or summarises content that already exists on the page.
For AEM sites, the tightest link is AEM as a Cloud Service on Adobe's managed Fastly CDN. There, routing is switched on from a button in Brand Visibility. Adobe Commerce storefronts also get their own opportunity, Enrich Product Detail Pages, which compares catalogue data with what agents can see on each product page.
What about Edge Delivery Services (EDS)? Adobe's FAQ asks whether Optimize at Edge is only for sites on EDS and answers no: it works with any front-end architecture. We didn't find an EDS-specific setup guide in the Brand Visibility docs, so ask Adobe which CDN guide fits your setup. Our Edge Delivery Services partner list shows firms that build on it.
A few technical details catch teams out:
- Routing must sit on the outer CDN, the one closest to the visitor.
- Pages need a Last-Modified header. Without it, Adobe skips the optimization because it can't tell whether the page changed.
- You need to allow two user agents: Spacecat/1.0 for analysis and AdobeEdgeOptimize/1.0 for edge delivery.
- The Agentic Traffic dashboard stays blank until CDN log forwarding is set up.
How does Brand Visibility work with Customer Journey Analytics?
There are two separate connections, and they do different jobs. One brings your CJA data into Brand Visibility. The other brings Brand Visibility's bot traffic data into CJA.
| Connection | What it does | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| CJA into Brand Visibility | Shows engagement, conversions and revenue for AI-referred visits | CJA access and a data view in the same Adobe organisation |
| Brand Visibility into CJA | Adds a summary dataset of AI bot and agent requests from CDN logs | A paid offering, a source in Experience Platform, a connection and data view |
| Adobe Analytics into Brand Visibility | The same business impact reporting from report suites | A paid offering, not the trial |
On the CJA side, Adobe's release notes now show the Brand Visibility integration as generally available on 8 October 2026. When we covered the October CJA release notes, it was listed for October with no day given.
A few details matter for planning. The bot dataset is aggregated and holds no personal data, prompts or responses. Adobe says some temporary processing happens in the United States before data lands in your contracted region. Your privacy team will want to know that. To join bot demand to page conversions, your web data needs a full-URL field that matches the one Brand Visibility provides.
Human visits from AI answers are a separate problem. CJA doesn't label them as AI traffic by itself, so you build a derived field on referring domains. Our guide to finding which AI search query generated a lead walks through that setup in CJA, Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
How is Adobe Brand Visibility sold?
As Adobe states it, Brand Visibility is a standalone application that can also run as a native integration with AEM. It sits inside Adobe CX Enterprise, Adobe's wider agentic AI system. Adobe doesn't publish a list price, so pricing comes through Adobe sales.
What Adobe's pages do say:
- LLM Optimizer is no longer sold. Brand Visibility replaced it on 31 July 2026.
- Some customers can trial it free. AEM Cloud, Adobe Analytics and CJA customers can activate a trial. Trials started on or after 1 April 2026 are limited to 100 prompts and one domain.
- Some features need the paid offer. The Adobe Analytics integration and the CJA dataset both require a paid Brand Visibility offering.
- Use beyond the trial needs a licence. Adobe says so plainly in its quickstart.
What drives cost? We can't give figures, but the scope questions are predictable. How many brands, domains, prompts and markets will you track, and in which languages? How much optimization do you plan to deploy? Then add the internal or partner time for CDN routing, analytics mapping and content work. The Brand Visibility RFP template helps you get comparable quotes for that work.

Is Brand Visibility the same job as audience activation?
No. Brand Visibility deals with how AI systems describe and cite your brand, and how AI agents read your pages. It doesn't build customer audiences or send messages. That's the work of tools like Adobe Campaign and Adobe Audience Manager.
Adobe describes Audience Manager as a data management platform that collects first-party data, builds audience segments and pushes them to ad platforms and campaign systems. Campaign orchestrates email, SMS, push and direct mail. Both work with people-level data, while Brand Visibility's datasets, by Adobe's account, are aggregated and hold no personal data.
So if the question is "how do I put AI-referred visitors into a remarketing audience?", that's an activation project, not a Brand Visibility feature. We cover it in Adobe Campaign and Audience Manager integration.
What should you do next?
Now that Adobe LLMO is Brand Visibility, existing customers and new buyers have slightly different to-do lists. Most of these items take an hour or two, and they save confusion later:
- Confirm your contract status with your Adobe account team if you bought LLM Optimizer before 31 July 2026.
- Tell report owners about the renamed metrics before the next monthly report goes out.
- Check which admin profiles still carry the LLM Optimizer name, and keep them.
- List your CDNs and identify the outer one. That decides how Optimize at Edge gets set up.
- Allow Spacecat/1.0 and AdobeEdgeOptimize/1.0 in robots.txt and in your bot rules.
- Decide whether CJA, Adobe Analytics or GA4 will carry business impact, and name the person who owns the mapping.
- Write down the ten prompts that matter most to revenue and record a baseline now.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you still buy Adobe LLM Optimizer?
No. Adobe's transition page says that from 31 July 2026 Brand Visibility is sold in place of LLM Optimizer. Customers who bought LLM Optimizer before that date and still have an active contract receive Brand Visibility features automatically, with no migration project. If you are mid-negotiation on an LLM Optimizer quote, ask your Adobe account team to restate it under the Brand Visibility name.
Where do I log in to Adobe Brand Visibility?
Adobe's Experience League FAQ says trial and paid users sign in at abv.adobe.com with their Adobe ID. AEM Cloud customers can also start a trial from a product card in Experience Hub, and Adobe Analytics or Customer Journey Analytics customers may see a trial banner on the Experience Cloud home page. Your organisation's domain is fixed at onboarding, so pick it carefully.
Is Adobe Brand Visibility the same thing as Semrush?
No. Adobe acquired Semrush, and Brand Visibility pulls in Semrush's AI visibility and SEO data, but Adobe still sells Semrush as its own product. Brand Visibility is the enterprise application built on LLM Optimizer that combines that data with Adobe's optimization, deployment and analytics connections. Think of Semrush as one of its data sources rather than its new name.
Does Optimize at Edge count as cloaking?
Adobe says it does not. Its documentation explains that pre-rendering gives AI agents the same content human visitors and search engines already see, and that content fixes only summarise or reorganise information already on the page. Your SEO lead should still review what gets deployed, because a summary that drifts from the live page is a real risk if nobody checks it.
Which AI assistants does Brand Visibility track?
Adobe's product page lists ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot among ten LLM families, with coverage in more than 25 languages. The trial Brand Presence documentation also names Google AI Overviews and Gemini. Coverage of edge deployment is narrower: Adobe says Optimize at Edge currently serves changes to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude.
Do I need Customer Journey Analytics to use Brand Visibility?
No. Visibility tracking, opportunities and edge deployment work without it. Analytics only matters when you want to tie AI visibility to engagement, conversions or revenue. Brand Visibility can connect to Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Analytics or GA4 for that, and Adobe says the Adobe Analytics connection requires the paid offer rather than the free trial.
